Hello! And welcome to the MTCS Early Learning Center blog! My name is Jennifer Hopkins and I’m so thrilled that you are visiting our site. I am the director of the ELC and the main writer for this blog. Before I took my position as director (and now blogger) I taught for 20 years and loved every moment of it. Last year, I accepted the position as director of the ELC. With my one-year anniversary fast-approaching, I can’t help but reflect on how much I’ve learned as well as how much I’ve loved my new position.

One of my favorite quotes says, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” The main goal of this blog is to help us all stay young. For me, blogging is uncharted territory. I am learning (and will learn as I go) how to best meet your needs with this site. For you, I hope this becomes a resource of learning. We will fill our pages with information on everything from suggested reading lists to gross motor skill activities to our favorite family friendly spots around town. We will also feature our fabulous staff periodically so you can get to know the faces of the ELC. My hope is that this blog will offer you a look into how much I love this school and learning while instilling a passion for these things in you as well.

I’m so excited to start this learning journey with you. May we always be learning and always stay young.
